The Whitney Wildcats basketball team scored 26 points and limited the visiting Buckholts Badgers to 23 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now have a 2-9 record. They play next when they host Meridian for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. Whitney will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 44-42 non-league win over Western Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Buckholts falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Badgers travel to North Zulch (North Zulch, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Region IV District 29 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 1-4. North Zulch lost 42-16 in their recent non-league game against Round Top-Carmine (Carmine, TX)
