In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Chattooga Indians basketball team scored a good 54-43 triumph over the Rockmart Yellowjackets.
The Indians (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels go into the A D1 Region 7 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Fannin County topped Armuchee (Rome, GA), 56-45, in a league match.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Cobb Christian for a AA Region 7 match on Tuesday, December 10. Rockmart will face a Eagles squad coming off a 38-31 league win over North Murray (Chatsworth, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
