In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Cloudland Highlanders basketball team scored a close 47-40 triumph over the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights.

The Highlanders (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson County (Mountain City, TN). The Longhorns go into the non-league contest with a 2-7 record.

In their next game, the Black Knights confront the Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, TN) in a 2A District 1 contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Chuckey-Doak will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 64-40 non-league win over Unicoi County (Erwin, TN).
