The Wilmington Wildcats basketball team scored 37 points and limited the visiting Clifton Central Comets to 28 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now have a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Herscher for a Illinois Central 8 game on Monday, December 9. Wilmington will confront a Tigers team coming off a 38-34 league win over Lisle (Lisle, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Clifton Central falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Comets host Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL) to confront the Chargers in a River Valley game on Monday, December 9. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 1-5. Illinois Lutheran lost 55-33 in their recent non-league game against Morgan Park Academy (Chicago, IL)
