The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME) and the host Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME), observed Madison's basketball team overcome Dirigo by a margin of 45-27.

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Black Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Maranacook defeated Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME), 43-29, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Hall-Dale Bulldogs (Farmingdale, ME) in a C South challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Dirigo will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 50-46 non-league loss to Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME).
