In Saturday's league contest, the host Gibsonburg Golden Bears basketball team scored a good 43-32 triumph over the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains.

The Golden Bears (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Port Clinton (Port Clinton, OH). The Redskins go into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Port Clinton was topped by Margaretta (Castalia, OH), 39-31, in a league contest.

The Warriors go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 47-39 league win over Bucyrus (Bucyrus, OH).
