Nebraska High School Basketball - Hartington-Newcastle holds off Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats basketball team scored a close 54-47 triumph over the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats.

The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Boyd County (Spencer, NE). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Boyd County was tipped by Wausa (Wausa, NE), 39-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats confront the Norfolk Catholic Knights (Norfolk, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 48-42 non-league loss to Gross Catholic (Omaha, NE).
