The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH) and the host Salem Quakers (Salem, OH), observed Marlington's basketball team overcome Salem by a margin of 44-35.

The Dukes (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Alliance (Alliance, OH). The Aviators come into the Eastern Buckeye challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Alliance dropped by Minerva (Minerva, OH), 56-12, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Quakers battle the West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH) in a Eastern Buckeye challenge, on Wednesday, December 11. Salem will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 42-28 league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, OH).
