In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Navajo Prep Eagles basketball team scored a good 41-31 win over the Shiprock Chieftains.
The Eagles (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Elks/Elkettes come into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Pojoaque Valley was topped by Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM), 35-27, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Chieftains battle the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. Shiprock will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Scorpions come into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 63-34 non-league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).
