Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Susquenita triumphant over Newport

December 7, 2024: Newport, PA 17074

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Susquenita Blackhawks (Duncannon, PA) and the host Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), observed Susquenita's basketball team overwhelm Newport by a score of 46-21.

The Blackhawks (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Line Mountain (Herndon, PA). The Eagles come into the Tri-Valley challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Line Mountain trounced Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA), 47-26, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Buffaloes encounter the Juniata Indians (Mifflintown, PA) in a Tri-Valley challenge, on Monday, December 9. Newport will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 51-47 non-league win over Mifflin County (Lewistown, PA).
