Minnesota High School Basketball - Orono triumphant over Richfield

December 7, 2024: Long Lake, MN 55356

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) and the visiting Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN), observed Orono's basketball team overwhelm Richfield by a score of 73-45.

The Spartans (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN). The Zephyrs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks (New Hope, MN) in a AAA Section 6 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Richfield will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 59-35 non-league loss to Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN).
