In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Hopkins Royals ice hockey team scored a close 5-2 victory over the Buffalo Bison.
The Royals (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Irondale (New Brighton, MN). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Irondale by Osseo (Osseo, MN), 6-2, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bison play the Bemidji Lumberjacks (Bemidji, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Buffalo will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record.
