The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hastings Raiders (Hastings, MN) and the host Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN), witnessed Hastings's ice hockey team hold off Simley by a score of 1-0.

The Raiders (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against New Prague (New Prague, MN). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, New Prague got by Mayo (Rochester, MN), 5-3, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Albert Lea Tigers (Albert Lea, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 14. Simley will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mankato West (Mankato, MN).
