The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN) and the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN), witnessed Hermantown's ice hockey team defeat Mahtomedi by a score of 5-2.

The Hawks (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshall (Duluth, MN). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Marshall got by Superior (Superior, WI), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Zephyrs battle the Tartan Titans (Oakdale, MN) in a Classic Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Mahtomedi will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 8-1 league loss to Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN).
