In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Weldon Chargers basketball team scored a close 74-67 triumph over the North Edgecombe Warriors.
The Chargers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Northampton County (Gaston, NC). The Jaguars go into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Northampton County was tipped by KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC), 49-30, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors confront the Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC) in a contest, on Tuesday, December 10. North Edgecombe will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 63-49 non-league win over North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC).
