Alabama High School Basketball - Chilton County nips Wetumpka

December 8, 2022: Clanton, AL 35045

Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wetumpka Indians (Wetumpka, AL), 60-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chilton County upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Stanhope Elmore (Millbrook, AL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Stanhope Elmore won 57-55 in their recent non-league bout against Tallassee (Tallassee, AL)

Next up, the Indians play the Elmore County Panthers (Eclectic, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Wetumpka will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 93-58 non-league loss to Stanhope Elmore (Millbrook, AL).
