The Union County Braves basketball team scored 82 points and restricted the visiting Dawson Springs Panthers to 63 in the Braves non-league victory on Thursday.

The Braves now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crittenden County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Union County will battle a Rockets team coming off a 85-38 league loss to Lyon County (Eddyville, KY). The Rockets record now stands at 2-4.

The Panthers (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Caldwell County (Princeton, KY). The Tigers come into the District 7 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Caldwell County was defeated by Todd County Central (Elkton, KY), 68-39, in a non-league contest.
