In Thursday's non-league outing, the Sipsey Valley Bears (Buhl, AL) basketball squad edged the host Greene County Tigers (Eutaw, AL), by a margin of 45-41.
The Bears (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Patriots go into the 4A Area 7 outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, American Christian Academy held off Northside (Northport, AL), 68-52, in a league outing.
The Tigers now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Choctaw County for a non-league outing on Monday, December 12. Greene County will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 93-45 non-league loss to Demopolis (Demopolis, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
