Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Trojans (West, TX), 46-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Itasca upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Wampus Cats travel to Axtell (Axtell, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Axtell won 64-36 in their recent non-league bout against Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Hillsboro Eagles (Hillsboro, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. West will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 50-42 non-league win over Jarrell (Jarrell, TX).
