The Mid Peninsula Wolverines (Rock, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI), 58-50 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Wolverines (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI). The Black Bears go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.

The Cougars now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Central for a Central Upper Peninsula test on Monday, December 12. Superior Central will encounter a Jets squad coming off a 63-36 non-league win over Rapid River (Rapid River, MI). The Jets record now stands at 2-0.
