The Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), 52-38 in Thursday's league test.
The Maple Leafs (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Alleman (Rock Island, IL). The Pioneers go into the Western Big 6 test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Alleman notched a victory over Rock Island (Rock Island, IL), 60-52, in a league test.
The Golden Warriors now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Moline for a Western Big 6 test on Saturday, December 10. Sterling will encounter a Maroons squad coming off a 45-44 league win over East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 2-6.
