The Ishpeming Hematites basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Gladstone Braves to 39 in the Hematites non-league victory on Thursday.

The Hematites now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westwood for a Western Peninsula contest on Monday, December 12. Ishpeming will battle a Patriots team coming off a 58-55 non-league win over Menominee (Menominee, MI). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.

The Braves (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Kingsford (Kingsford, MI). The Flivvers come into the Great Northern U.P. contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Kingsford prevailed over Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI), 45-31, in a non-league contest.
