Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lakeview Spartans (Battle Creek, MI), 55-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kalamazoo Central upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Maroon Giants travel to Jackson (Jackson, MI) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Jackson won 47-37 in their recent non-league bout against Eastern (Lansing, MI)
