The Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Atkins Camels to 36 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockingham County for a contest on Tuesday, December 13. Ben L. Smith will battle a Cougars team coming off a 65-50 non-league loss to Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.
The Camels (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Davie (Mocksville, NC). The War Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Davie triumphed over R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC), 55-50, in a non-league contest.
