The Hickory Red Tornadoes routed the visiting Freedom Patriots basketball team by a final score of 47-26 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes face the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 16. Hickory will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record.

With the defeat, Freedom moves to 1-4 on the year. The Patriots host Patton (Morganton, NC) to face the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, December 9. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 3-2. Patton lost 48-41 in their recent non-league game against Maiden (Maiden, NC)
