Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals (Goldsboro, NC), 54-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Topsail upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, December 9. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 2-1.

With the defeat, Wayne Preparatory Academy moves to 2-1 on the year. The Generals travel to Grace Christian (Sanford, NC) to meet the Crusaders in a non-league match on Thursday, January 12. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 6-1.
