The Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) basketball nipped the host Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA), 59-58 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bearcats (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record.

The Falcons now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Lee for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Abingdon will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 66-21 non-league loss to KACHEA (Kingsport, TN). The Generals record now stands at 1-2.
