Amsterdam Rams (Amsterdam, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Johnstown Sir Bills (Johnstown, NY), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Amsterdam upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Rams travel to Gloversville (Gloversville, NY) to clash with the Huskies/Dragons in a Section 2 Foothills bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Huskies/Dragons go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Gloversville lost 33-31 in their recent league bout against Scotia-Glenville (Scotia, NY)

Next up, the Sir Bills clash with the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots (Broadalbin, NY) in a Section 2 Foothills bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Johnstown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 67-52 non-league loss to Cohoes (Cohoes, NY).
