South River Seahawks (Edgewater, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Annapolis Panthers (Annapolis, MD), 71-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, South River upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Seahawks host St. Mary's (Annapolis, MD) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 0-3. St. Mary's lost 57-49 in their recent non-league bout against Broadneck (Annapolis, MD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Southern Bulldogs (Harwood, MD) in a non-league battle, on Friday, December 15. Annapolis will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
