The Belle Plaine Plainsmen basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Iowa Valley Tigers to 38 in the Plainsmen league triumph on Friday.

The Plainsmen now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Keota for a South Iowa Cedar contest on Tuesday, December 12. Belle Plaine will battle a Eagles team coming off a 77-28 league win over Tri-County (Thornburg, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-0.

The Tigers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sigourney (Sigourney, IA). The Savages enter the South Iowa Cedar contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Sigourney triumphed over Cardinal (Eldon, IA), 87-43, in a non-league contest.
