Kentucky High School Basketball - Phelps can't hold off Berea

The Berea Pirates basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Phelps Hornets to 74 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belfry for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Berea will battle a Pirates team coming off a 85-61 non-league win over Jenkins (Jenkins, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.
The Hornets (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY). The Blackcats enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Prestonsburg was nudged by Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY), 98-78, in a non-league contest.
