The Eagle Grove Eagles basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears to 64 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Mills for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Eagle Grove will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 87-61 non-league win over Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-0.

The Golden Bears (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura ran past Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA), 29-26, in a non-league contest.
