Ohio High School Basketball - Black River can't hold off Columbia

December 8, 2023: Sullivan, OH 44880

The Columbia Raiders basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Black River Pirates to 40 in the Raiders league triumph on Friday.

The Raiders now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wellington for a Lorain County 8 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Columbia will battle a Dukes team coming off a 69-27 non-league win over Lake Ridge Academy (North Ridgeville, OH). The Dukes record now stands at 3-0.

The Pirates (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Keystone (La Grange, OH). The Wildcats enter the Lorain County 8 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Keystone nudged Western Reserve (Collins, OH), 55-39, in a non-league contest.
