Chadron Cardinals (Chadron, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gordon-Rushville Mustangs (Gordon, NE), 66-10 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chadron upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Gering (Gering, NE) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Gering lost 57-50 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Gordon-Rushville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 49-34 non-league win over Wallace (Wallace, NE).
