Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA), 78-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Cherokee Bluff upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Bears travel to East Hall (Gainesville, GA) to clash with the Vikings in a AAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, December 15. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 6-1. East Hall won 75-64 in their recent league bout against East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA)

Next up, the Knights clash with the East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 76-70 non-league win over Monsignor Donovan Catholic (Athens, GA).
