Georgia High School Basketball - South Paulding nips Douglas County

December 8, 2023: Douglasville, GA 30134

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) and the host Douglas County Tigers (Douglasville, GA), saw South Paulding's basketball squad hold off Douglas County by a tally of 74-71.

With the victory, South Paulding improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hiram (Hiram, GA) to play the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Hiram won 58-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Carrollton (Carrollton, GA)

Next up, the Tigers play the New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 5 challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Douglas County will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Jaguar come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 58-43 league win over East Paulding (Dallas, GA).
