Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ridgedale Rockets (Morral, OH), 49-34 in a league bout.
With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Comets host Cardington-Lincoln (Cardington, OH) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Cardington-Lincoln won 70-29 in their recent league bout against East Knox (Howard, OH)
Next up, the Rockets clash with the Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Ridgedale will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 65-12 league loss to Liberty-Benton (Findlay, OH).
