Westborough Rangers (Westborough, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fitchburg Red Raiders (Fitchburg, MA), 66-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westborough upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rangers host Douglas (Douglas, MA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Red Raiders play the South Colonels (Worcester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Fitchburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
