The North Polk Comets basketball team (Alleman, IA), was toppled 60-49 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA)
The Tigers now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mason City for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 9. Gilbert will confront a Mohawks team coming off a 65-64 non-league loss to Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 0-4.
The Comets (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against A-D-M (Adel, IA). The Tigers come into the Raccoon River battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, A-D-M beat Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA), 61-54, in a league battle.
