The Gillespie Miners basketball team (Gillespie, IL), was overwhelmed 63-42 in Friday's league battle with the host North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL)

The Panthers now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nokomis for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 9. North Mac will confront a Redskins team coming off a 47-32 non-league loss to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 1-4.

The Miners (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Lebanon (Lebanon, IL). The Greyhounds come into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Lebanon was overwhelmed by Steeleville (Steeleville, IL), 66-24, in a league battle.
