Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Heidelberg Oilers (Heidelberg, MS), 63-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kemper County upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to West Jones (Laurel, MS) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-6. West Jones lost 76-68 in their recent non-league bout against Quitman (Quitman, MS)

Next up, the Oilers play the Collins Tigers (Collins, MS) in a 2A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Heidelberg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
