Illinois High School Basketball - Indian Creek edges Newark

The Indian Creek Timberwolves (Shabbona, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), 51-48 in Friday's league test.

The Timberwolves (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL). The Cogs go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Genoa-Kingston was tipped by Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL), 51-40, in a non-league test.

The Norsemen now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Dwight for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Newark will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 83-27 non-league loss to Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 3-6.
