New York High School Basketball - Iona Prep thwarts Xaverian

The Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Xaverian Clippers (Brooklyn, NY), 53-45 in Friday's non-league test.
The Gaels (3-0) will now prepare for their test against St. Raymond Boys (Bronx, NY). The Ravens go into the Catholic AA - New York test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, St. Raymond Boys notched a victory over Monsignor Scanlan (Bronx, NY), 97-85, in a league test.
The Clippers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Archbishop Molloy for a Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens test on Tuesday, December 12. Xaverian will encounter a Stanners squad coming off a 83-71 non-league loss to Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, NY). The Stanners record now stands at 2-1.
