West Point Pointers (West Point, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA), 55-53 in a league bout.

With the win, West Point upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Pointers host Northampton (Eastville, VA) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Northampton won 54-51 in their recent non-league bout against Phoebus (Hampton, VA)

Next up, the Royal Tigers clash with the Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. King & Queen Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 73-66 non-league loss to Caroline (Milford, VA).
