The Reed-Custer Comets basketball team (Braidwood, IL), was overwhelmed 71-29 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL)
The Panthers now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lisle for a Illinois Central 8 battle on Tuesday, December 12. Manteno will confront a Lions team coming off a 57-52 league loss to Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Lions record now stands at 4-4.
The Comets (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Clifton Central (Clifton, IL). The Comets come into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Clifton Central trounced Tri-Point (Cullom, IL), 65-34, in a league battle.
