The Mercer County Golden Eagles basketball squad scored 61 points and restricted the visiting ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars to 37 in the Golden Eagles league victory on Friday.

With the victory, Mercer County upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Macomb (Macomb, IL) to play the Bombers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Bombers come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Macomb lost 56-44 in their recent non-league bout against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)

Next up, the Cougars play the Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. ROWVA/Williamsfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Timberwolves come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 57-46 league win over Dwight (Dwight, IL).
