Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Antigo Red Robins (Antigo, WI), 79-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds host D.C. Everest (Schofield, WI) to play the Evergreens in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Evergreens go into the bout with a record of 1-5. D.C. Everest lost 64-30 in their recent league bout against Wausau East (Wausau, WI)

Next up, the Red Robins play the Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Antigo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 65-63 non-league win over Green Bay Preble (Green Bay, WI).
