BCLUW Comets (Conrad, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host GMG Wolverines (Garwin, IA), 52-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, BCLUW upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Comets host Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA) to clash with the Rebels in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout on Saturday, December 9. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Gladbrook-Reinbeck lost 42-34 in their recent league bout against AGWSR (Ackley, IA)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Colo-NESCO Royals (Colo, IA) in a Iowa Star bout, on Tuesday, December 12. GMG will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Royals enter the game with a 0-5 record after their 59-38 league loss to North Tama (Traer, IA).
