The Stoney Creek Cougars basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks to 33 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brighton for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Stoney Creek will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-47 non-league loss to Marian (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.
The Black Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Canton (Canton, MI). The Chiefs enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Canton nudged Fordson (Dearborn, MI), 45-35, in a non-league contest.
