Texas High School Basketball - Giddings can't hold off Columbus

The Columbus Cardinals basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Giddings Buffaloes to 35 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Flatonia for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Columbus will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-46 non-league win over Smithville (Smithville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-2.
The Buffaloes (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Manor New Tech (Manor, TX). The enter the 4A Region III District 22 contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Manor New Tech nudged Meridian (Round Rock, TX), 78-23, in a non-league contest.
